Hey folks,

good news that might have already reached you:

I was just coming in here to post what you already know. The last two Rise Against songs were posted today. This is the end of the missing content. PS4 EU is finally up to date with PS4 US.

Our team is still looking into the import pack, as we know some people are having trouble with that disappearing on them, but that data has been on the servers so we know it's there. It's just not displaying. So that's what we're trying to figure out now.

I cannot thank you enough for all your patience, your awareness, your understanding, and most of all your clear communication and feedback. Being able to pop into this thread and see exactly which tracks were missing, mis-priced, or otherwise misaligned has been a great help, especially since I am working so far from the team that is actually implementing the changes. Your help has been invaluable and I deeply and truly appreciate it.

posted by the one and only Dan Amrich on the Ubisoft Forums

Thereby, with exception of some minor issues, the European PSN Store is up to date on Rocksmith content. It was a long journey and I'd also personally like to thank my fellow Rocksmithians, the Ubisoft team and yes, even the SCEE team for the effort they put into resolving this issue.

Happy to say that this Blog's over. Cya! :)

PS: It had to be post Nr. 1337 to bring the good news, right? ;)

We're getting there...

Cheers everyone!

Apologies for the long period of silence. As announced in the previous post I was on holidays.

During that period, then and again some content trickled into the store. We're really close to having the complete Rocksmith setlist available for EU PS4 players. Thanks to R2_'s thread on the Ubi-forums, we have a good overview about what is still missing or messed up:

Missing songs:

  • PS4: The Cure - Just Like Heaven
  • PS4: Rise Against - Give It All
  • PS4: Rise Against - Prayer of the Refugee

Missing Song Packs:

  • PS4: The Black Keys
  • PS4: The Cure
  • PS4: Rise Against
  • PS4: Sum 41
  • PS3: Player Picks
  • PS3: Rock Singles

Incorrect prices:

  • PS4 Bachsmith - Song Pack £2.49 / €2,95 (should be £3.99 / 4,95€)
  • PS3 Bush - Song Pack £9.49 / 11,95€ (should be £7.99 / 9,95€)
  • PS4 Bush - Song Pack £9.49 / 11,95€ (should be £7.99 / 9,95€)
  • PS4 My Chemical Romance - Song Pack £7.99 / 9.95€ (should be £6.49 / 7,95€)
  • PS3 Rockabilly - Song Pack £5.79 / 6.95€ (should be £9.49 / 11,95€)

Other issues:

  • PS4 Foo Fighters II Song Pack appears three times in the store and they are all named "Foo Fighters Song Pack".
  • PS4 The Smashing Pumpkins Song Pack has a wrong title: "Rush Song Pack"

I will let you know here once all issues have been resolved. We're pretty close now. If you want to stay up to date "in real time", head over to this thread. For the best overview, check said thread by R2_.

Store Update 2015/05/27: Another meek week.

Cheers everyone.

Sorry for not updating this in the past weeks. Truth is, there isn't much to update. With a major chunk of update being available by now the attention to the issue has decreased (which is alright). Sadly, two week's updates in a row there hasn't been much progress either. None, to be quite frank.

Will try keep you posted about anything I might hear. Will be on vacation though from next week on, so, for realtime information, head over to the thread in the Ubisoft forums.

Store Update 2015/05/13: Thin update & subsequent fixes.

Hey everyone.

This post was overdue (again), sorry. The recent store update by SCEE brought little new for EU PS4 Rocksmithians. Only the two Rage Against The Machine Packs were readded (for whatever reason) in addition to the newly released DLC.

There are some good news as well, though. The following songs are reported to be available now:

  • Biffy Clyro - Bubbles
  • Aerosmith - Sweet Emotion
  • Slash - Back from Cali
  • Bachsmith Pack

Noteworthy might be that the Bachsmith Pack is currently (incorrectly) priced at £2.49 / €2,99€. Definitely a bargain!

Store Update 2015/05/06: Nothing unexpected.

Just a short note on yesterdays store update. It seems as if the previously announced packs have been added to the store. Sadly, the wrong (too high!) price of the My Chemical Romance Pack (from last week) has not been corrected yet.

If you encounter any (previously unknown) issue with current DLCs, head over to the Ubisoft forums and let Dan Amrich know. Thanks!

Import Tool working!

Just a short and overdue announcement. The Import Tool for the RS1-Songs should now work for EU PS4 users. Rocksmithians have been reporting that the purchase of the tool on PS3 even transfers onto PS4.

By now the gap of missing content has become a lot smaller. Check out R2_'s list of remaining issues on the Ubisoft forums and let him know if you encounter any other issues or if one of these appears to be fixed by now.

Dan Amrich just announced that the long awaited Import Tool for RS1 songs is expected to be released for EU and AU territories on May 1st.

  • Megadeth  Song Pack
  • 9mm Parabellum Bullet - Atarashii Hikari

Store Update 2015/04/22: Some good some bad

Bush Pack and songs with permission issue

A usually up to date list by R2_ can be found here.

  • ‘Earphone’ by Golden Bomber (£2.49/€2.99/$4.55)

  • Rocksmith Vampire Weekend – Cousins (£2.49/€2.99/$4.55)
  • Rocksmith The Cure – The End of the World (£2.49/€2.99/$4.55)
  • ‘Atarashii Hikari’ by 9mm Parabellum Bullet (£2.49/€2.99/$4.55)
  • ‘Sweet Dreams’ by Roy Buchanan (£2.49/€2.99/$4.55)
  • Rocksmith 2014 – Mountains – Biffy Clyro (£2.49/€2.99/$4.55)
  • Rocksmith 2014 – Stingin’ Belle – Biffy Clyro (£2.49/€2.99/$4.55)

Marked in orange are the songs that are currently reported missing. Nevertheless, there is reason to be happy. After all we have endured months of stagnation and we have had some major catch-up updates in the past month.Let's motivate Sony to keep this up, head over to our blog comment!

Major permission fix

Hey everyone,

our ComDev Dan Amrich announced the following good news:

"Sony is reporting to us that the permissions for the DLC added April 1 and April 8 should now be fixed. If you were disappointed that these PS3 purchases were not downloading for free on PS4, please try downloading them on PS4 now and report back on what you experience."

Please, if you come across a permission that does not work, head over to the Ubi forums and let Dan (and us) know. Thanks!

Minor permission fix

Hey everyone,

the following permission issues are reported to have been fixed:

Supermassive Black Hole - Muse
Hysteria - Muse
Stockholm Syndrome - Muse
Time Is Running Out - Muse
Muscle Museum - Muse
1979 -Smashing Pumpkins
More than a feeling - Boston
dammit - blink 182
Have you ever seen the rain - CCR
Living after midnight - Judas Priest
Oh yeah - Aerosmith
Legendary Child - Aerosmith
Dream On - Aerosmith
Same Ol' Song and Dance - Aerosmith
Free Bird - Skynyrd
Barracuda - Heart
Juicebox - The Strokes

Born Under a Bad Sign - Albert King and Stevie Ray Vaughan *

As of today 04/17*:
Come out and play - The Offspring
When I'm Gone - 3 Doors Down

If this is not consistent with what you are experiencing, try either searching for the songs individually, maybe even in the browser-version of the store or to restore your licenses in PS4.

Besides, I will now start to call these issues (PS3-song ownership doesn't transfer to PS4-songs as promised) permission issues, instead of cross buy issues. Simply because the latter term is misleading, as Dan Amrich explains here.

It works! + 1 FREE Song

Hey everyone,

I'm happy to have some mostly good news to spread:
  • The announced batch of legacy DLC seems to be online and available.
  • In this case, "available" also includes previous owners, meaning that (according to Ubisoft forum users) this time there are no cross buy issues and previously purchased songs can now be downloaded to your PS4, even if you're European or Australian. :)
  • Maybe a mistake, maybe a compensation, but you can currently purchase and download Be Yourself by Audioslave free of charge (might be time-limited, hurry up!).
  • As of now does not seem as if the persisting cross buy issues from the April-1st Update have been fixed. Let's keep fingers crossed this is done in the course of the day.
Feel free to update me anytime if something changes! As always, we'll hit the PS-Blog later, this time to express some gratitude, but also to remind SCEE of the remaining cross-buy issues. Join us and support the first RS2014-related post!

Apparently not all songs are completely free of cross-buy issues. Please check the Ubisoft forums thread (Pages 95 to 97) to see whether users have reported problems with one of the songs you might be interested in.

Store Update 2015/04/08: Packs but no cross-buy-fix

A short information for all fellow Rocksmiths out there. Today's PSN-Store update brought the previously announced packs. Sadly, the cross-buy-issues with the 60 or so recently added legacy DLC songs persists. So, owners of the PS3-versions are still asked to pay for the content they had purchased before.

If you feel as disappointed about this lack of thoroughness as I do, support our blog-comment, our forum post at the PS-forums or tweet with Hashtag #RSDLCScandal.

If you're new to this mess, check out a wrap up of what is going on here. Best source of information is Ubisoft's RS2014 ComDev D. Amrich. He usually posts any updates he can give into this thread at the Ubi-forums.

Today's uploads and the upcoming schedule!

Cheers everyone,

happy to spread some more good news. First and foremost it seems that the schedule that was announced towards the end of last week has been kept. See here what has been added:

Compilation of recently added songs. Thanks to DjPelle for pasting it all together!

While that should be great for all of us, there currently is still a catch to all of this:

  • as of now, the cross-buy functionality does not work, so players that previously owned these songs can not redownload them for free. We hope that, as last week, this issue will be fixed during the day.
  • players that did not own these songs before might want to wait a few more weeks until all of the underlying packs have been uploaded to get a better value for their money.
That brings us to the second announcement. RS2014 ComDev D. Amrich announced what can be expected for the coming two weeks:

Release Date Artist
08. Apr Queen Song Pack
08. Apr Foo Fighters Song Pack
08. Apr Iron Maiden Song Pack
08. Apr The Offspring Song Pack
08. Apr Green Day Song Pack
08. Apr Weezer Song Pack
08. Apr blink-182 Song Pack
08. Apr The Doors Song Pack
08. Apr Fall Out Boy Song Pack
08. Apr The Police Song Pack
08. Apr Disturbed Song Pack
08. Apr 3 Doors Down Song Pack
15. Apr Pearl Jam Song Pack
15. Apr The Black Keys Song Pack

That should be especially nice for players that did not own any of the legacy DLC yet. We hope that SCEE and Ubi keep working on catching up, an maybe release another big batch of songs soon!

Of course we will give our (this time quite positive) feedback on the blog!

EDIT: Use our blog-comment to ask SCEE to fix the remaining cross buy issues!
