Major permission fix

Hey everyone,

our ComDev Dan Amrich announced the following good news:

"Sony is reporting to us that the permissions for the DLC added April 1 and April 8 should now be fixed. If you were disappointed that these PS3 purchases were not downloading for free on PS4, please try downloading them on PS4 now and report back on what you experience."

Please, if you come across a permission that does not work, head over to the Ubi forums and let Dan (and us) know. Thanks!

Minor permission fix

Hey everyone,

the following permission issues are reported to have been fixed:

Supermassive Black Hole - Muse
Hysteria - Muse
Stockholm Syndrome - Muse
Time Is Running Out - Muse
Muscle Museum - Muse
1979 -Smashing Pumpkins
More than a feeling - Boston
dammit - blink 182
Have you ever seen the rain - CCR
Living after midnight - Judas Priest
Oh yeah - Aerosmith
Legendary Child - Aerosmith
Dream On - Aerosmith
Same Ol' Song and Dance - Aerosmith
Free Bird - Skynyrd
Barracuda - Heart
Juicebox - The Strokes

Born Under a Bad Sign - Albert King and Stevie Ray Vaughan *

As of today 04/17*:
Come out and play - The Offspring
When I'm Gone - 3 Doors Down

If this is not consistent with what you are experiencing, try either searching for the songs individually, maybe even in the browser-version of the store or to restore your licenses in PS4.

Besides, I will now start to call these issues (PS3-song ownership doesn't transfer to PS4-songs as promised) permission issues, instead of cross buy issues. Simply because the latter term is misleading, as Dan Amrich explains here.

It works! + 1 FREE Song

Hey everyone,

I'm happy to have some mostly good news to spread:
  • The announced batch of legacy DLC seems to be online and available.
  • In this case, "available" also includes previous owners, meaning that (according to Ubisoft forum users) this time there are no cross buy issues and previously purchased songs can now be downloaded to your PS4, even if you're European or Australian. :)
  • Maybe a mistake, maybe a compensation, but you can currently purchase and download Be Yourself by Audioslave free of charge (might be time-limited, hurry up!).
  • As of now does not seem as if the persisting cross buy issues from the April-1st Update have been fixed. Let's keep fingers crossed this is done in the course of the day.
Feel free to update me anytime if something changes! As always, we'll hit the PS-Blog later, this time to express some gratitude, but also to remind SCEE of the remaining cross-buy issues. Join us and support the first RS2014-related post!

EDIT: THIS JUST IN
Apparently not all songs are completely free of cross-buy issues. Please check the Ubisoft forums thread (Pages 95 to 97) to see whether users have reported problems with one of the songs you might be interested in.
